Why not just ask them to stop?

You can. Any agent can ask a firm to stop calling. That right is theirs permanently, and always will be, with or without us.

But it’s just one request, from one agent, to stop one recruiter at a time, and firms in our suppression network run campaigns for more than 4,000+ brokerages. Your agents could be making those requests indefinitely, with no obvious end in sight.

The gap

Why the Do Not Call Registry doesn’t solve this

Federal Do Not Call rules were written primarily for sales and telemarketing calls. Recruiting calls are different.

When a brokerage calls your agent about joining its company, it generally isn’t selling a product or service. That means the usual Do Not Call protections may not require that brokerage to stop recruiting simply because a number appears on the National Registry.

Your agents can still ask each recruiting firm directly to stop. But that means answering every single firm, requesting each one to stop, and doing it all again when a new firm enters the market.
